18. Rainbow
He was usually grumpy, so it was no surprise how frustrated he seemed when he found it was raining and had no umbrella. She cheerily allowed him to share, despite his protests.
“You need to appreciate things more. Look, the rain’s stopping!” she pointed at the clearing skies. All he did was grunt.
The grey clouds shifted, and a ray of sun spilled onto the world once more. And following that was the unforgettable ribbon of varied colours.
“A rainbow!”
He thought it was childish, but he too couldn’t help but reminisce his childhood days.
In the end, he smiled.
